about me
Hello! I’m Ashlee—a happily married Sacramento dweller and brand new momma to Everett Hudson.
I’m also a list-maker, truth-lover, Christ-believer, and joy-chooser. I recently quit my day job to focus on a made up career of one part aspiring writer, one part photographer, and one part freelance extraordinaire. By night, I practice a number of various hobbies, including but not limited to: storytelling, planning parties, dancing to 90’s rap music, making somethings out of nothings, and finding excuses to not replace the toilet paper roll.
I would love to write something official someday, but for now, I only write for you. Enjoy.

I read your blog to your sister and it was very touching! I wish I had a sister or even a mother that would have given me advice like that ten years ago! I’m 25 and I have 2 beautiful girl and a step daughter that is 14yrs old! I would love to talk more with you! Your blog has inspired me so much!
Congratulations!! So happy for you and your new little one!!
Hey Ashlee-
Just wondering if you would be willing to send me a copy of the things you registered for (tarasuehansen@hotmail.com). I am starting that daunting task of registering. I think it is more difficult than doing it for your wedding because there are so many brands/styles/etc. Thank you. Tara from MN
I have been following you blog for a few months now as my husband and I are expecting in December. It is so nice to read your posts- they are great information and funny!
Hi Tara! I’d love to
Hi Ashlee,
So I came across your blog through another travel blog that I’m currently reading. To be honest, just writing this comment makes me feel all strange inside (especially since I don’t even know you!) But, I LOVE your blog. I don’t know what it is about your writing, but I feel I can relate to a lot of the things you talk about (besides being married and having a baby). I read your post about the letter to Callie who is 15, and although I’m a few years older, it reinforced my values and belief’s. So thank you. I get those reassurances from friends and family, but knowing that I am not the only person out there who won’t settle for any less than I deserve, really made my day. So thanks!
And I hope this comment didn’t creep you out!
Hi Jess! Thanks so much for the sweet note. I hope you become a regular reader around here
I have been reading your blog for about 3 years now. I am not even sure why I never commented on anything, just know that this will change + that you have been inspiring + encouraging to me for a long time!
Ashley´s last [type] ..my first love.
