that one time we bought a bed off amazon.

Where My Heart Resides-1 Where My Heart Resides-2 Where My Heart Resides-3 Where My Heart Resides-4 Where My Heart Resides-5 Where My Heart Resides-6 Where My Heart Resides-7As promised, I’m here to report back on the bed we bought from Amazon.

In a nutshell: it’s awesome.

Aside from taking one million years to get here (okay, more like 6-8 weeks), Brett was able to put it together in one afternoon (he’s a stud), and we have been happy ever since. I buy a lot of things off Amazon: books, diapers, beauty products, baby products, Christmas gifts, camera gear, the list goes on and on. They almost always have the best price and I’m a total sucker for free shipping.

But a bed? Who buys a new bed off Amazon?!

This girl.

Let the bedroom makeover commence.

p.s. We paid $596 so keep your eye on the price, it might drop again. White pinched duvet cover is from Target.

I think I remember you posted something about buying your bed off amazon in another post? I hope so, otherwise I’m totally crazy. I remembered this supposed post this weekend when I was looking for beds and checked amazon. I found some great deals, but, I’m just wondering about the delivery logistics?

Who delivers? Are they going to dump it outside my house & run? Will they bring it upstairs? I kind of want to buy from someone that will deliver & bring it upstairs. Honestly, I don’t want to deal with the nightmare of trying to get a king size mattress in the house. Our house is weird, it would be difficult.

I love your duvet! Looks so fresh and vacationy (yes, that’s a word!).

Hi Jena! Good question. They call you ahead of time to arrange a delivery date and time (someone has to be home), and then you specify where you want them to put it. The bed contains the frame and headboard, no mattress, so it comes in a few big boxes and then you assemble yourself. Kind of like IKEA but a lot nicer 😉

I’m really digging the soft, neutral color palette. Just so relaxing!

How did pioneer women SURVIVE without Amazon?? That’s a question I ask myself a lot. LOVE that bed. We just got Cruz a twin bed from Amazon and also couldn’t be happier. 😉

I just bought a mattress off Amazon about a month ago and it’s the best bed I’ve ever had. Memory foam, delivered to the door via FedEx and it was under $300. I’m in love with it! Now I just need a bed frame and headboard. Yours is absolutely to die for! Maybe have to consider Amazon for that as well, not just Ikea 😉

  6. I’m glad to hear it’s comfortable. I’ve purchased a million things from Amazon myself, but never a bed! I would be nervous since I couldn’t test it first but I’ll keep this one in mind since I trust your reviews. 🙂

Ashlee, now that you have had this bed for awhile, how do you like it? I looked at some of the reviews on Amazon and they weren’t so good.
