a citrus lane giveaway!

While trolling the internet working from home, sometimes I stumble across really good ideas. Ideas I wish I had thought of first. My latest discovery? Citrus Lane: handpicked care packages for parents (a Birchbox for mommies, if you will). I think it’s pretty brilliant. For $25 a month you receive 4-5 “best of” products that not only match your child’s age, but also fit a monthly theme. The products are handpicked by real parents and are valued at $30-45 (plus an extra treat, PLUS free shipping) so it’s quite the steal! With 3, 6, and 12 month gift packages, I don’t know what mommy wouldn’t love to get a box full of goodies once a month!

Aren’t these boxes adorable? I am a sucker for unique products and cute packaging. Also worth noting: Citrus Lane doesn’t accept paid placement, which means every product in every box has been reviewed by their advisory board and/or community. It’s basically like having your own personal shopper! My personal favorite is the Deluxe Shower Box, which even includes a $50 Minted gift card (!!!). This box retails at over $90 and is available for purchase at citruslane.com for only $35. Can we say PERFECT BABY SHOWER GIFT?

But wait, it gets better. The sweet folks over at Citrus Lane have graciously offered to give one lucky reader a Home for the Holidays box! This was the box that went out in the month of December and even includes a special Stella & Dot bracelet for mommy. Not a mommy? This would be a perfect belated holiday gift to give to a friend…

To enter: simply leave a comment with your favorite baby product suggestion for Citrus Lane to add to their boxes. It can be for any age or gender. I’ll pick a winner at random on December 28th. Good luck! If you don’t win the box but want to sign up for Citrus Lane or give a subscription as a gift, use promo code SAVE20 to get 20% off your 3, 6, or 12 month subscription, or off your first month’s order. With Christmas right around the corner, I can’t think of a better gift for the new mommy in your life :)

((I’m not entering, because I sadly don’t have a little one nor do I know of anyone who does – but OH MY GOD. This is brilliant! I am so signing up for this when we have a little one in the family. Love, love, love!!!))

These are adorable! I think Citrus Lane should include one of those wooden iPhone teethers from your Christmas gift list – I’m still coveting it!

How exciting! My cousin is having her baby next month and I have taken the day off to be there for her since she’s being induced. I’d love to have one of these to give to her–and her new little man–that day!! I am REALLY impressed with all of what I’m seeing on the site, but the baby hat with ears is just plain adorable… and especially for a newborn January baby who might be a little chilly outside of the womb!

I would absolutely love to share some of these goodies with my “mom-to-be” friends and “new mom” friends. Although I don’t have my own little one, I’m definitely of the age where everyone is having their first baby! Raffi CDs are my favorite gifts of all time for new mom friends. I’m not sure if Citrus Lane could add them to their boxes or not but either way, I love his classic kids tunes!

  5. Melissa says:

Love this idea. It looks like they have just about everything covered! Maybe add a bath toy?

  6. lauren says:

what an awesome idea!! i would recommend that they include [age-appropriate] flashcards for the child or a gift card for a national photo developing company, so that recipients can print out some photos of the child at that age. a set of ‘thank you’ note cards could be included in the newborn box since gifts flow in at all times!
i have so many friends who are currently pregnant and i am definitely bookmarking citrus lane! :) *

So cute and such a great deal! Maybe add a rattle/noise making toy?

  8. What a wonderful idea! I have four cousins and my best friend who had babies just this past August and September, so there are lots of new mommies in my life right now!

My favorite baby product is Butt Paste. I always include it with baby shower gifts because every mom I know raves about it. Apparently it’s quite excellent for those delicate baby tushies!

Also, books. I always get new babies a bunch of board books and picture books to start their personal library! :)

such a great idea!! my sister in law is currently trying for their first baby! i think maybe they could do some type of gender specific box, add some hair bows for girls and a cute little skull and bones beanie for boys. i don’t know, something like that. :)

I was thinking of a small blankie the baby can lay on or hold. Nothing too plain, but nothing too crazy either. Perhaps in organic cotton? And shaped like this? :-)

I’m loving Little Saplings and the wood teethers they sell on Etsy – they even have ones shaped like your home state! A great “box” addition if you ask me :) And I would love to win one!!!

  12. Lesley says:

One of my favorite baby products are Aden & Anais burp cloths. They are thick, super cute, and they also function as a bib so they serve a dual purpose. I wish I more of them!

  13. Irene says:

I would say a sling or some sort of music to play to babies!

  14. Heidi says:

I think a great addition could be miYim products or maybe Flat Katz organic toys because they use organic cotton and soybean fabrics with safe dyes that are okay for baby to put into their mouth and we all know that’s where most things end up lol.

  15. Raquel says:

CJ’s BUTTer would be a great addition. Once you use it, you’re hooked. An all natural diaper rash cream that smells so much better than Destin! And, it works great too. They also have a PLUS! line of products for thrush, eczema and other unpleasant diaper related stuff.

  16. Shellie H says:

I would suggest a pacifier clip that really works! Or a nice heat pack/neck pack (filled with rice or something that smells nice) for mommy. Thank you so much for a chance to win!

  17. Lana says:

My fave baby products include hyland teething tabs, my ergo, wubba nub and Sophie. These boxes are fantastic!! So buying some!! (for me and as shower gifts)!

  18. Ashley Gray says:

I asked Santa for this :) I sure hope he brings it… and I’m not sure what they should add. But I do like reading every one else’s suggestions. I guess I’ll know soon enough what’s good!

  19. Danielle says:

I am entering for my co-worker who is still keeping her pregnancy under wraps. She SOOOOO deserves this and she loves your blog!

  20. Danielle says:

Oops and I recommend them adding a soft teething toy at three months delivery….because that’s when my darlings started teething. Or a wrist rattle.

  21. Alli Moore says:

I love good ideas too and Citrus Lane is so cool! I’m not a mommy, but I love products. I think Citrus Lane should put Peter Rabbit Organic food pouches in their box (if they haven’t already). Such smart product packaging and it’s healthy! Our nephews can’t get enough of them! http://www.peterrabbitorganics.com/

  22. Shannon M. says:

I love this!! My sister is due with her first next July so I’m thinking this would be an awesome gift for her! I know a lot of babies would love their blanket/animal combos so one of those would be a great addition! :)

  23. Ruth says:

Such a great idea! I would love to gift this to friend. On my baby list would be these short sleeve organic cotton onesies found here: http://www.minimioche.com/products/earth-short-sleeve-onesie. I would love to see that added into a box.

  24. Jennifer says:

such a great idea – will leave you salivating for future boxes!!!! a little something for mommy each time would be ideal too! definitely thinking baby shower gifts for all my friends!!

  25. Anna says:

Sophie Giraffe! The entire line of products is awesome!

  26. Bethie says:

Aidan & Anais swaddling blankets kept our sweet bean warm and cozy door the first 6 months! They are best! Kari’s still us them now as her “blankie.”

  27. My favorite baby item is sophie the giraffe! My son is almost 3 and still loves his Sophie!

  29. Stephanie Anfinson says:

Would love to give this as a shower gift for a friend who just found out she was pregnant! My only suggestion is a wubbanub (I think they are called). A pacifier with a little stuffed animal attached. My niece has 3 different ones, she loves them, they are easy to find and machine washable!

  30. Selena says:

I always loved wooden pacifier clips…I was always on the go and after the paci’s falling on the ground all the time… I finally found these great wooden paci clips to keep them attached and my life easier… Off to go check out Citrus Lane’s site.. what a fun idea!!!
