It’s a new day. A New Year. New you, and new me.
This is the year.
It’s our year. Let’s not let it go to waste, but do good with it. 365 days of pure potential.
Take your dream and turn it into a reality. Stop saying, and start doing. Be an example. Quit the job you hate and find the job you love, even if it takes a while. It will probably take a while. Step away from the cubicle and the florescent lights. Go for a walk. Touch your toes. Feel the sunshine on your face and eat some fruit. Remove your shoes.
Everything is better barefoot.
Do everything you meant to do in 2010, but didn’t. Go everywhere you meant to go, and say everything you meant to say. Pour yourself into the friends who love you, and step back from the ones who don’t. Life is too short for lukewarm friendships. Ignore the people who think you can’t, and surround yourself with the people who know you can.
Believe. In yourself, and in something bigger than yourself.
Be fearless. Be patient. Take care of your body, and don’t worry about what other people think of it. Recycle. Read a book. Read another one. Use your hands to make something.
Run. Outside. Faster.
Find a reason to laugh every day. Choose joy. Send a card. Smile at a stranger. Help someone, and then help someone else. Floss, occasionally. Dress up for no reason. Dance in the kitchen. Eat ice cream for dinner. Say you’re sorry, and mean it. Take a chance. Take a breath. Stand up for what you believe and stand up for others who cannot. Think before you talk. Sometimes it’s okay not to talk. Dream big. Love hard.
Get up and move.
Be confident. Be gracious. Be yourself.
It’s a new day. A New Year. New you, and new me.
